Academics
St. Peter Catholic School is dedicated to excellence in
education and to the spiritual development of youth within
the framework of the Gospel and the tradition of the
Catholic Church. Our fundamental task is educating the
whole person, integrating faith with learning in daily life.
Recognizing the uniqueness and individuality of children, we
guide them to discover and develop their God-given gifts.
At St. Peter Catholic School we instill in our students a
lifelong commitment to learning, to developing Christian
virtues, and to fostering community service. St. Peter
Catholic School offers classes from Pre-K to 7th grade.
Curriculum
ACADEMIC PROGRAM
Our Early
Childhood program focuses on student-teacher interaction and
encourages every child to
develop and maintain responsibility and independence.
Our elementary grades are primarily self-contained with
instruction centering on reading, language arts, and math.
Integrated units, hands-on activities, and a wide array of
instructional strategies are incorporated throughout the
curriculum.
Classes are
departmentalized and students are given the opportunity to
explore more in-depth subject matter through our highly
recognized Middle School. Christian leadership, youth
service, multimedia labs, curriculum units, advisor/advisee,
and the use of manipulatives combine to make our innovative
program developmentally appropriate for the young
adolescents. We offer a math
honors program to sixth and seventh graders and an honors
language arts/literature course to our
seventh grade students.
St. Peter School
teachers incorporate lessons about God, the dignity of life,
and our Kingdom building responsibilities
within the regular curriculums of math, science, language
arts, social studies, and
the arts. “God is spoken at St. Peter School” every
single day!
